People in Pakistan tend to find creative ways to make money. At the entrance of the bazaar are tons of young boys carrying big bags who earn money by carrying shoppers' purchases. We hired a young Afghani boy who explained that his school helped him find this job in order to fund his education. I was amazed by his ability to keep up with us as we navigated the bazaar for over an hour. Typically these boys get paid around 200 rupees ($2.50). I have never seen anyone as happy as this boy was when we handed him 500 rupees.
